Why Ben Affleck Was Visited By The FBI Amid LA Fires

Ben Affleck recently got a surprise visit from the FBI and LA law enforcement, amid the devastating Los Angeles fires, and now we know why.

According to a statement given to Page Six by the FBI press relations office, “Members of the FBI’s Ground Intercept task force are conducting activity in the area of the Palisades fire relative to unauthorized drone activity. Agents and our local partners may be visible throughout the area, including at various residences, for this reason.”

Additionally, a source tells Page Six, “FBI agents were at Affleck’s home to see if he had CCTV footage of a private drone which damaged a super scooper, one of the firefighting aircrafts.”

FBI Agents and law enforcement from the LA County Sheriff’s Department showed up at Affleck’s house in Brentwood, and according to DailyMail, were seen waiting outside of his gate. It’s unclear why they were there or if Ben was home at the time, but they eventually left after a few minutes.

Ben’s house, located in Brentwood, boarders the Pacific Palisades, which has been mostly destroyed by the intense fires. Affleck had evacuated to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home nearby — he shares three children with Garner, Violet Anne (19), Seraphina Rose (16), and Samuel (12).

Just a day before the FBI visit, Ben was seen outside of his house sharing a warm hug with Violet as fires continued to burn in LA. His daughter wore an N-95 mask to protect herself from smoke inhalation.
