Locations which may be affected include Whyalla, Ceduna, Coober Pedy and Roxby Downs.
The conditions have also led to the first total fire ban of the season, in the Flinders and North East Pastoral districts.
Very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted, with temperatures up to 42 degrees in the Far North.
