Alligator Energy have submitted an application for a retention lease 25 km southwest of Whyalla to recover uranium in the area.
The group’s proposal includes the types of operations they hope to undertake, an assessment of the environmental impact, and a rehabilitation and closure plan.
The public is invited to submit a written comment regarding the company’s proposal until the 20th of September.
