Police detected a high range drink driver yesterday afternoon in Whyalla Stuart.
Authorities stopped the 34-year-old man on Mcdouall Stuart Avenue around 2:30pm, and checks on his vehicle revealed it was unregistered and uninsured.
Further investigation revealed the man had never held a licence and the vehicle had numerous defects including a broken driver’s seat and inoperable seatbelts.

The man also recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.290.
He was reported for drink driving, driving unlicensed and unregistered, and for a passenger not wearing a seatbelt.
He will appear in court at a later date.
