Tumby Bay jetty saga escalates with death threats

Tumby Bay Mayor Geoff Churchett says he has received a death threat over the closure of the local jetty.

Speaking with the ABC, he says an anonymous call came through his office this week threatening to harm him.

“We need to work together to find a logical and equitable result for our jetty, Mayor Churchett says.

“And when I say ‘our’, I mean our jetty, as in the community’s jetty.”

Police have been notified about the threats.
