Upgrades will begin today on the Streaky Bay Jetty.
In an effort to increase its lifespan, work will include post reinforcement, addition of new steel piles, timber replacement and installation of fenders to improve boat accessibility.
The jetty and swimming enclosure will be closed for the duration of the work.

The Department of Infrastructure and Transport are working with the local council, to make sure the NYE fireworks and Family Fish Day can still go ahead.
The upgrade is expected to be complete in mid-2025.
