The District Council of Streaky Bay say they’re thrilled with the turnout to the Youth Precinct soft launch last Friday, 4 July.
They say the energy and enthusiasm of locals made the event truly special, with families exploring the park, kids swinging in hammocks and friends gathering at picnic tables.
There’s further works to undertake to improve the area, including additional tree planting, installing modern toilet facilities, putting in a welcome sign and connecting the barbeques to the power network.

While these works are undertaken, the precinct will remain open for the public to enjoy.
Streaky Bay Council anticipate the formal opening will take place in October.
