Eyre Peninsula residents are being encouraged to give feedback on efforts to make South Australia a global leader in renewable energy.
The South Australian Government wants to move to 100% renewable energy by 2030 and a draft Bill for a proposed Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act has been released for public comment.
The Act will introduce a ‘one window to government’ licencing and regulatory system for large-scale hydrogen and renewable energy projects in the state.
Department for Energy and Mining staff will be visiting communities across the state as part of their consultation on the draft Bill. You can find them on the EP at the following locations:
- Whyalla: Tuesday 13 June, 11am-2pm – Westland Shopping Centre
- Port Lincoln: Wednesday 14 June, 10am-1pm – Nautilus Arts Centre
- Ceduna: Monday 19 June, 10am-1pm – Ceduna Memorial Hall
