Eyre and Western Police warn locals to be cautious of scam texts as scammers have started impersonating South Australian police officers.
On Tuesday, 25 June, three people contacted SAPOL to say they’d received a text from an unknown number, claiming they needed to pay for outstanding fines by clicking a link.
Authorities remind residents that no government organisation will ever request personal details or payments via text message or by clicking a link.
