Regional childcare concerns raised in Parliament

Member for Flinders Sam Telfer addressed State Parliament this week calling for better childcare in regional South Australia.

Mr Telfer raised concerns about hospitals and aged care facilities having to hire from outside the community because qualified locals don’t have access to childcare.

He says this is impacting the economic potential of some regional townships – using Cummins and Tumby Bay as examples of thriving communities that would benefit from childcare.
