An inquiry into regional bank closures around the country is coming to SA next year.
The hearing submissions deadline has been extended from this December into Autumn 2024, as CEO’s of the Big Four banks face a grilling over their decisions to close branches.
Australian Citizen Party Research Director Robert Barwick says he’s glad to see the expansion of the inquiry.

“South Australia has lost more banks than any other state in Australia, Barwick says.
“Regional South Australia is a banking desert, and your state deserves to have a very significant say in this inquiry.”
