RAA data shows jump in kangaroo collisions

Road crashes involving kangaroos have risen drastically in the last two months according to RAA insurance data.

Animal collision claims rose by 32 per cent in September and October when compared with the monthly average for the past year – making it the worst two months for kangaroo collision claims since early 2021.

RAA Insurance Head of Claims Nicole Cox says the jump in kangaroo activity is just another reason drivers need to remain fully focused on the road.
