Pre-loved items finding new homes this weekend

Whyalla residents will be hunting for the best bargains and rarest finds over the next two weekends at the Garage Sale Trail.

Co-founder of the event Andrew Valder says research has found more people are opting for pre-loved items to deal with the rising cost of living.

“Shopping second-hand is no longer considered shopping second best, he says.

“Two in five Australians have bought something second-hand within the last year and one in three Australians have sold something second-hand in the last year.”
