A Port Lincoln local came very close to losing thousands of dollars on Tuesday after a call from a scammer.
Claiming to be from a bank and testing internet procedures, the scammer reportedly encouraged her to withdraw a large amount of money.
They began arranging for someone to attend the victim’s home to collect the money.

Fortunately, the victim spoke with a friend, who contacted the police.
