The intersection of Porter Street, Liverpool Street and Railway Place in Port Lincoln is under the spotlight.

Department for Infrastructure and Transport spokesperson Matt Bowman says they are upgrading the intersection and have a concept design that includes traffic signals.

“Those signals will include pedestrian push-button crossings on all approaches… there’ll be some new line marking and signage throughout the area, as well as some new LED lighting and curbing,” Bowman says.

A team from the Department will be available for community consultation at the Port Lincoln TAFE Library on Thursday, 27 June, from 4 pm-7 pm, and again on Saturday, 29 June, from 11 am-1 pm.

They say local feedback is considered vital to the $4.5-million project.

“That local feedback from people who use the road and intersection every day is really, really valuable for us finalising the best possible upgrade.”
