A man has been arrested for a number of offences after a traffic stop on Sunday.
Just after 5pm, police were performing mobile speed detection on the Eyre Highway at Gilles Downs, near Kimba, when they detected a car travelling at 143km/h.
The driver, a 28-year-old Ceduna man, allegedly refused to submit to a drug test, refused to provide his personal details and refused to get out of the vehicle.
Police also searched the vehicle and located an amount of drugs and a sword.
The man was charged with speeding, refusing drug testing, refusing details, hindering police, carrying an offensive weapon and possessing a controlled drug.
The man was refused bail and appeared in the Whyalla Magistrates Court yesterday.
