Commissioner of Liquor and Gambling Bretty Humphrey said the trial will focus on its impact towards the anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related harm in Whyalla and its surrounding areas.

“Trialling these changes for three months, will help us get an indication of whether limiting the sale of cask wine has an impact on the issues confronting Whyalla,” he said.

Consumer and Business Services will monitor the data over the coming months to determine the next steps following the trial.

The trial is set to end on 18 July.
