A nation-wide fishing competition will cast off soon, and it’s open to everyone with up to $300,000 in cash and prizes to be won.
Kylie Graham from Australian Women in Fishing says some lucky Tumby Bay locals have taken home prizes during the Pirtek Fishing Challenge.
“Sharky and his partner Raylene have both fished the Challenge for many years and they’ve been really fortunate and won quite a few things,” Ms Graham says.
She adds there is more to the competition than just prizes.
“It’s only $30 to enter, and all proceeds go to medical research.
“You get a hat, a brag mat and stickers, and it’s just a really good way to get out and get involved in fishing.”
The competition runs from the 20-21 April, and you can register on the Pirtek Fishing Challenge website.
