The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board are controlling the feral deer population on the Lower EP.
They recently partnered with the Department of Primary Industries and Regions on a thermal assisted cull of feral red deer around Marble Range.
With the input of local landowners and monitoring cameras, deer numbers were estimated to be less than 15.
The Landscape Board and the Department will continue working together over the next few years to control the numbers before population grows and management becomes harder.
Locals can help by reporting deer sightings or evidence of deer through the Feralscan app or website.
