Samphire plants growing in a saltmarsh near Whyalla are a cause for celebration for the Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board.
The plants are a result of four years of work to restore and protect the Eyre Peninsula’s vital saltmarsh ecosystem.
The Saltmarsh Threat Abatement and Recovery Project finished up last month along with on-ground works on more than 7,500 hectares of saltmarsh with interventions including debris and weed removal, access control, revegetation and rabbit control.
