Police impounded a car on Sunday night after it was allegedly driven by two drink drivers at Penong.
Authorities were called to a licensed venue after the blue station wagon crashed into a beer garden wall.
The alleged driver – a 47-year-old man of no fixed address – recorded a blood alcohol reading nearly five times the legal limit.
He was charged with drink driving, property damage, driving without due care and driving while suspended.
The other person involved made for a getaway in the station wagon, but was later found.
The 58-year-old woman – also of no fixed address – refused to undergo an alcohol test and was arrested and charged with failing to submit to breath analysis, resisting arrest, providing false details and driving unlicensed.
Both drivers were refused bail and appeared in court on Monday.
