Police are investigating after a car was torched and another car was stolen in Port Lincoln early on Thursday, 29 June.
Around 2:15am, police were called to a property on Western Approach Road after neighbours reported an explosion and fire.
Police and fire crews attended and located the burnt remains of a Holden sedan.
The property owner of the Western Approach Road address then discovered his white Ford F250 ute had been stolen.
Police spotted the stolen ute on Heath Street just after 4:30am and pursued for a short time, but had to stop when the car reversed and collided with the front of the police vehicle.
The stolen Ford is still outstanding, and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
The vehicle’s South Australian registration number is S950CAI.
