It comes after the council officially approved a new dog park at the Recreation Reserve, following a recent motion.
Mayor Dean Johnson announced the council has been collecting pet registration income over the years, which will help fund the park.

The initial materials needed for the $25,000 project will be purchases in the coming months, with construction slated to begin in the 2025-26 financial year.
