An initiative to spark conversations around mental health and suicide prevention is on this weekend – Ski for Life going into its 11th year.
Port Lincoln will be represented at Ski for Life events along the River Murray by The Salties, who will be spreading the mental health message.
The ski relay starts in Murray Bridge on Friday morning, 8 March, and ends in Renmark on Sunday, 10 March.
Chair Mark Facy says it’s a great initiative and community.
“We’re really fortunate [for] the group of people – we call them the Ski for Life family – and the people around this event, Mr Facy says.
“We’ve got a massive following outside of the event itself, as an organisation, as a brand, and we’re really proud of that.”
