Aussie Bird Count 2023 encourages citizen conservation efforts

The 2023 Aussie Bird Count is happening during National Bird Week, starting October 16.

Eyre Peninsula residents can make a difference towards bird conservation by taking a moment to count the birds they observe over a 20-minute period.

There are four steps:

1. Spend 20 minutes in your favourite outdoor space and record the birds you see during that period.
2. Submit your results using the Aussie Bird Count app or the web form.
3. Use the built-in “bird finder” tool to help identify birds you’re unsure of.
4. Submit your count.
