South Australia is facing a looming demand for skilled workers across diverse sectors.
The Skills Outlook 2023 report revealed around 100,000 vocational education training (VET) qualifications are needed in the next five years – with industries like construction, manufacturing, retail and hospitality requiring VET qualified professionals.
To address this, the state government is granting over $5 million to training providers like TAFE SA and $2.45 million to high-demand sectors like bricklaying and electrical trades.
Additionally, new Skills Centre’s like the one in Cleve will offer resources and specialised facilities in regional areas.
