More sporting events will be heading for Whyalla with the city’s recent addition of an $800,000 facility at Jubilee Park.
The new facility – including an amenities block, toilets and unisex bathrooms – was made possible by more than $400,000 in state government funding which was matched by council.
Whyalla Mayor Phill Stone says the new facility will bring a multitude of benefits.

He says it increases Whyalla’s chance of attracting major regional events which will have a positive flow-on effect for the local economy.
Member for Giles Eddie Hughes says Jubilee Park has been an important part of Whyalla’s infrastructure for years and the Malinauskas Government is proud to have invested in the space.
