Fire fighters on the Eyre Peninsula will soon have new safety helmets.
Both CFS and MFS fire fighters will receive new structural firefighting helmets, to complement their existing multipurpose firefighting helmets.
The new helmets are already used in over 140 countries, with CFS Chief Officer, Brett Loughlin, saying the safety of their volunteers is their number one priority, and not only are those helmets some of the most advanced in the market, but they have also been tried, tested and selected by South Australian firefighters.
